ErgoDox EZ が謎の赤い点滅

購入してから1年ほどになる Ergo Dox EZ が謎の赤い点滅を発するようになりました。

サポートに問い合わせて、どう対応したかを残します。

先に結論

• サポートに問い合わせたけど、原因は分からないまま
• ファームウェアをリセットする方法を教わった
• その対応を行ったあと、問題は起きてない

起きた症状

右側のキーボードの一番右のLEDライトが赤く点滅する。

サポートとの会話

サ「右のLEDの点滅はダイナミックマクロの記録時に起こるよ」
私「マクロの記録なんて、キーボードにアサインしてないよ。レイアウトはこれです」
サ「ほんとやね。謎やね」
サ「ファームウェアをリセットして様子見ましょうか」
私「ほいさ」

ファームウェアをリセットする方法

1. Download the default ErgoDox EZ layout from Oryx (be sure to get the Original & Shine version) -- you'll use this file in the last step.
2. Flash your keyboard with the attached file (ergodox_ez_reset_eeprom.hex).
3. Once flashed, unplug your keyboard and disconnect the halves. Wait a few moments before reconnecting and plugging everything back in, and then mash some keys. You will not see output on the screen, but that is expected.
4. Flash your keyboard with the default firmware you downloaded in step #1.
5. Test the keyboard for a few minutes in this configuration. If everything seems normal, flash again with your own layout.

リセットしたあと

赤い点滅が出なくなりました。原因不明ですが、めでたしめでたし
